Itinerary of «The Legend of Hunza & the Naked Mountain»Day 01: Arrive Sust border point/Gulmit – 70 kms
Meeting on arrival assistance at the border formalities later we shall depart for Gulmit short stops at the view points – being sun in the right position stop at Gojal Cathedrals for photography.
On arrival transfer to Marco Polo Inn
Overnight
Day 02: Gulmit/Karimabad – 35 kms
We shall make morning hike/walk to Ghulkin village with views of beautiful Passu peak(7476m)
Lunch at local house in Ghulkin – later return to Gulmit and depart for Karimabad – we shall make stop Haldekish rock drawings – see huge collection of drawings and inscription often referred as the Sacred Rock of Hunza – see the views of Altit Fort perched on calcite rock giving a picturesque view with background of Ultar peak(7388m)
afterwards drive up to Karimabad and on arrival transfer to Serena Inn – overlooking the village and mountains. The view of Rakaposhi mountain (7788m) adds to the beauty of Hunza valley as it is striking view from all parts overlooking the valley

Day 03: Karimabad
This will be a great walking day starting with walk upto Baltit the traditional village of Hunza which was the administrative part of the former state of Hunza – we shall walk to the Baltit Fort which was home to the earlier former rulers of Hunza has now been converted into an ethno museum.
We shall have a detailed visit and views from its picturesque location. Afterwards walk down to the old village mill a good sight to see the local people – we may have short session of talking to the elderly people
afterwards return and proceed to Altit village which is just on the other side of the cliff – we shall visit Altit Fort located on a strategic location once overlooking a caravan road.
After a short walk in the village we shall return and shall drive up the road to Duikar – this is a prospect point of Hunza with great views of the whole valley
Return back to Karimabad
Overnight
Day 04: Karimabad/Hoper/Karimabad
We shall make excursion to Hoper in the opposite Nagar valley – see the highly glaciated zone from the view point. Short hike down the glacier
later return for lunch
Afterwards return to Karimabad
Free walks in the village – interact with local people

Day 05: Karimabad/Gilgit – 115 kms
morning departure for Gilgit driving on the Karakoram Highway with short stops enroute at Rakaposhi Peak views. Later continue to Gilgit and on arrival transfer to Hotel Serena Gilgit
Afternoon sightseeing tour of Gilgit town – we shall drive down to the town and shall proceed to Kargah to see rock cared image of Buddha – later visit the old handing bridge and the bazaar.
We might see a local polo match – this is a regular feature often seen being played in the local polo fields and later return to Gilgit

Day 06: Gilgit/Raikhot Bridge – 80 kms
Raikhot Bridge/Fairy Meadows – 10 kms – Jeep road
This will be wonderful as we depart for Fairy Meadows – our first stop will be at the confluence of Indus river flowing through Skardu valley out of Ladakh and joining here with Gilgit river making it the might Indus flowing down to the Arabian Sea. See the beautiful Harisingh Bridge once the only link between Gilgit and Kashmir valley – little further we shall see the panoramic views of Nanga Parbat and on our back Rakaposhi peak and Haramosh ranges
On arrival at Raikhot Bridge we shall mount jeeps and depart on an exciting drive to Fairy Meadows – we shall make a short stop at Tato (hot water springs)
On arrival at Fairy Meadows (marchen wise) we shall transfer to our Raikhot Sarai hut accommodation
Enjoy the sun setting views of Nanga Part at a touching distance

Day 07: Fairy Meadows
We shall spend the day – hikes to Behal camp (near the mountain base camp) pay respects to the mountaineers who lost their lives on Nanga Parbat – this could be an interesting day walk
return to your huts in the afternoon

Day 08: Fairy Meadows/Raikhot Bridge – 10 kms
Raikhot Bridge/Babusar Pass/Naran – 175 kms
Morning we shall depart for Raikhot and arrival rejoin our coach for departure to Kaghan Valley
we shall make stop on top of Babusar Pass – later continue through the picturesque Lalusar Lake and stop at the sight of local nomadic camps – we shall see a lot of shepherd activity on this road
arrive in the afternoon and transfer to Naran PTDC motel
Overnight
Day 09: Naran/Balakot/Abbotabad/Taxila/Islamabad – 287 kms
Morning depart through the main Kaghan valley – we shall make several stops at the view points.
Afterwards continue to Abbotabad – later take off the road towards Taxila
We shall visit the ruins of Taxila dating from 6th BC to 5th AD – most of the Buddhist period ruins date from 2nd AD to 5th AD. Our first stop will be at Jaulian Buddhist monastery ruins.
Later continue to visit Sirkap 2nd City ruins and afterwards visit the Archaeological Museum of Taxila
continue to Islamabad and on arrival transfer to Hotel Pearl Continental

Day 10: Islamabad
Morning sightseeing tour of Islamabad – visit Folk Heritage Museum, later visit Shakreparian hills for a grand view of the city, afterwards drive through important buildings and then visit Islamabad Museum
Afternoon free at leisure
Farewell dinner at local restaurant

Day 11: Islamabad/Depart
Early morning transfer to airport for your departure flight
