Due to its geographical location the land of the Uzbek people was always at the crossroad of migrations and invasions. This brought different cultures and civilizations to the region. The Great Silk Road passed through this land making famous the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara. Tashkent is now a modern city and the capital of Uzbekistan. It is also the largest city in Central Asia. Equipped with minarets and mausoleums, mosques and madrassahs, Samarkand and Bukhara are known for monuments from the bygone days. Those were the days of the remarkable brick and tile structures – masterpieces of many constructors and artisans.

Day 01: Arrive Tashkent – o/n
Meeting on arrival assistance and transfer to Hotel
Sightseeing tour of Tashkent visit Old city, Hast Imam Complex, Barak Khana, Tilla Shaikh mosque & archives
later proceed Chorsu bazaar, Kukeldesh madrassah, Akbar’s pottery Museum, Friendship Square, Museum of Applied Arts
Overnight

Day 02: Tashkent/Samarkand - Train 354km (2 hours)
breakfast at hotel
Morning transfer to Samarkand by new Fast train “Afrosiyab” (2 hrs)
On arrival transfer to Hotel full day sightseeing tour of Samarkand – visit Registan Square to see the three beautiful Madrassahs, later proceed to Bibi Khanum Mosque, Silk Road Bazar and Shahi Zinda Necropolis
afternoon visit Afrosiab museum and site, Ulugbek’s observatory and Gur Emir, the Mausoleum of Tamerlane

Day 03: Samarkand/Shahrisabz/Samarkand
Breakfast at hotel
Morning depart for excursion to Shakhresabz Shakre Sabz – visit Ak Saroy Palace ruins, Dorus Tilavat seminary, Kok Gumbaz mosque, Dorus Saidat and the Friday mosque
Later return to Samarkand and on arrival transfer to Hotel

Day 04: Samarkand/Bukhara

Day 05: Bukhara/Tashkent

full day sightseeing tour visit Lyabikhauz, Madrassah Nadirkhon Devanbegi, Khanaga Mogaki Attari mosque, Poi Kalon minaret and Museum, later visit madrassah Ulugbek and Aziz Khan, Ark Fortress and Balakhauz mosque
afternoon visiting the "Silk Road Spices" tea house and testing teas prepared from herbs and spices
Transfer to airport for Flight to Tashkent

  Overall good trip, Dilya speaks very good english and have great knowledge about the sites.
  Minzifa hotel, very friendly and service oriented staff.
  Sultan hotel, with not warning and power shortage/water supply shortage. The staff was very ignorant about these problems. Top bar/restaurant not in use.
