The most interesting fact of this game is the local folks who gather crying in support of their favorite team member amid the loud local music.
Olak is played and favorite horse game which is played on marriages, circumcisions of child, and equinox festivals. This game has its origin in the old Mongol armies who played it as an exercising event which later formed as part of the local culture.
Gurminj Musical ensemble: ‘where there is mountain, there is music and love’ the popular local saying. Tajiks are known lovers of music. Music had been the source of information, story telling and love and all this is still practiced in remote part of mountainous Tajikistan whether it is Pamir or the plains of Khujend music has played great role in a Tajik culture. The best performance are seen at Festivals, marriages and home coming.
